Brand Update
It’s May already, and it has been a very busy year so far. Craft fair season is officially underway, which keeps us very busy. It’s a great opportunity to get out and meet other like-minded individuals. Sharing my passion with others fills my heart with so much gratitude. It is my sincerest hope that you enjoy my products as much as I enjoy making them.
Last month our website went live. That was a huge undertaking and has been a learning curve to say the least. My background is in medicine, so navigating coding, SEO’s, and payment platforms is foreign. I can’t say it’s like Latin because those of us in medicine sling Latin words all day long!
I took a crafting during Covid as way to settle my anxious mind. It was a terrible time for all of us. Some of us lost loved ones, businesses, stability, and peace of mind. The world, our world, went topsy-turvy. For those of you reading this, who were personally affected by tragedy, please know that you’re in our hearts.
Working with my hands and creating something beautiful, brought me joy; with knitting and then with soap. Although, I have quite the collection of sweaters and cardigans. I started making a variety of soaps and giving them to friends and family as gifts. Soon my endeavors spread by word-of-mouth, and here we are today. Life has a way of moving us in unexpected directions.
I prefer a good quality, handmade soap, the mass produced supermarket or big box store stuff any day. First of all, I can pronounce all of the ingredients. Secondly, I can use the products without causing an eczema flare. Having sensitive skin can limit use of a lot of products. I love how The soap leaves my skin soft. I am no longer applying lotion every time I wash my hands. The Triple Butter Bars have been great for adding the much-needed moisture that my skin craves. When stored away from running or standing water, the bars of soap last much longer than the store-bought soap. Lastly, the smell. I can smell the soap as soon as I walk into the bathroom. Some of the scents are uplifting, while others are relaxing, or even nostalgic. whatever your reason, I recommend trying a bar to see the difference.
As always, support your local artisans. They make the world colorful.
